An Occupational Medicine Advanced Practice Provider delivers comprehensive medical care focused on the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. This role supports employee health, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance while promoting rapid and safe return-to-work outcomes. The APP conducts physical examinations, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions, and manages occupational injuries such as sprains, strains, and exposure-related illnesses. They perform pre-employment, surveillance, and fitness-for-duty exams in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, DOT). The provider collaborates with employers, case managers, and safety teams to develop treatment plans, facilitate return-to-work strategies, and reduce workplace risk.
