Upon completion of our robust 4-6 month training and a positive 6-month review, Clinician I employees are promoted to Clinician II. What You’ll Do Clinical Care Review and interpret the medical and social history of both male and female reproductive health patients; Perform appropriate medical screening procedures/exams for both male and female patients; Interpret laboratory data, order additional laboratory investigations when indicated and ensure appropriate follow-up; Provide a full range of contraceptive methods, including self-administered options and injections. Perform medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions for both male and female patients; Provide medication abortion, as indicated. Prescribe and educate on emergency contraception. Diagnose and treat uncomplicated STIs and genitourinary conditions. Perform wart treatment and basic dermatological procedures. Provide gender-affirming hormone therapy and related care. Offer premenopausal and menopausal health services. Act as a medical consultant to clinic staff; Manage emergency situations in the health center; Participate in staff meetings relating to center management and provides staff training in current medical procedures which are relevant to reproductive health; Contribute to achieving health center productivity goals. Demonstrate PPMM customer service standards; Assist in other areas of center support work as required. Patient-Centered Exams & Management Conduct and interpret medical histories for sexual and reproductive health visits. Perform pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, and other screening procedures. Order and interprets laboratory tests; ensure timely follow-up. Manage urgent health situations that arise during clinic operations. Team Engagement Act as a clinical resource for medical assistants and support staff. Attend staff meetings and contribute to clinic productivity and quality benchmarks. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Women’s Health NP (WHNP), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) program.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in the state of California.
- Board Certification
- CPR/BLS certification (current or within 30 days of hire).
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows-based systems)
