About The Position

The Surgical Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Surgical Physician Assistant works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction. In this role, you will see peds and adults. The schedule will be day & evening shift rotation. There will also be call duties.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants.
• Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
• Need to be certified to see all ages.

Nice To Haves

• One year in specialty.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Work collaboratively with health care providers and co-workers.
• Ensure positive patient interaction.
• Participate in day and evening shift rotations.
• Fulfill call duties as required.
