Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Neurology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neurosciences team in Danville, Pennsylvania. Requirements

  • The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of a ARC-approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.
  • The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Must be certified to work with all patient population age groups.

  • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop patient-centered care plans.
  • Conduct follow-up visits, medication management, and patient counseling.
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR.
  • Engage in patient and family education and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
