About The Position

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a talented and caring Advanced Practice Provider to join a dedicated multidisciplinary group. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN, providing inpatient care and outpatient hospital follow up to our patients. With supervision and management by both physicians and other NP/PAs, you are supported by people who understand your professional needs and goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and comfort in working with patients with Psychiatric illness. We expect this candidate to have an interest to learn/ be comfortable with psychiatric conditions and their management. The scope of work will involve working as an integral team member of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
• Must be eligible for DEA registration.

Nice To Haves

• Preference given to candidates with a PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health NP certification).
• Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs.
