About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work in Pediatric Primary Care, providing care from newborns to young adults, including well and ill child visits and mental health services. This position is a long-term float assignment across various CHSN office locations, including Batesville/Greensburg IN, NKY, Mason, Liberty, Springdale, Loveland, Wilmington, Centerville, Kenwood, and school-based health centers. The role requires experienced candidates with a preference for those with Pediatric Primary Care experience.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in a related field or Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree.
  • Licensure and certification in accordance with CCHMC Delineation of Privileges.
  • Multi-state licensure in addition to Ohio licensure may be required based on subspecialty.
  • Experience in Pediatric Primary Care preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as FNP, Acute Care, or Primary Care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and/or physical exams on patients presenting for care.
  • Assess and diagnose illnesses, including chronic and acute conditions.
  • Formulate, document, and monitor treatment plans.
  • Order and monitor therapeutic interventions, including diets, laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic tests.
  • Provide clinical consultation and order interdisciplinary consults.
  • Maintain competency in subspecialty practice and procedures.
  • Develop measurable goals for continuity of care.
  • Evaluate and modify individualized comprehensive plans of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities or research.
  • Serve as a preceptor, role model, or mentor.
  • Advocate for pediatric patients and families.
  • Maintain professional behaviors aligned with core values and care standards.
  • Document and communicate with healthcare team members.
