Key Position Details: Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice based at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Requirements
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required
- Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
- Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
Nice To Haves
- New graduates may be considered.
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU
Responsibilities
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care
