Requirements

• 1+ years of post-training experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with significant behavioral health experience.
• Current NP or PA license in the state of Nevada.
• Current and active DEA license in the state of Nevada.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service abilities.
• Demonstrated longevity in previous professional positions.
• Efficient in multi-tasking and managing workflow, with the ability to work autonomously.
• Proficiency with EMR software and electronic communication.
• Ability and willingness to commute to two sites daily.

Nice To Haves

• Current license in California in addition to Nevada.
• Experience in addiction treatment including withdrawal management.
• Experience with medication-assisted treatment protocols including buprenorphine and naltrexone.
• PMHNP or PA/NP with significant experience in treating psychiatric conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admissions and follow-up assessments at addiction treatment and mental health centers.
• Provide ongoing supervision, education, and support in collaboration with addiction specialist MDs and psychiatrists.
• Manage mental health conditions and low complexity primary care issues.
• Work on-site at treatment program locations in Reno, NV, with a rotating schedule.
• Participate in remote telemedicine hours as needed.
• Optionally pick up additional shifts for extra income.
