Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Abdominal Transplant NP or PA to provide comprehensive care to our transplant patients. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our transplant surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing abdominal organ transplants, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or from a Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Maryland.
  • Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-transplant evaluations and assessments of potential transplant candidates.
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of suitable organ transplant recipients.
  • Coordinate and manage the care of transplant patients through all phases of their transplant journey, from evaluation to post-operative care and long-term follow-up.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Provide patient education on transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to transplant services.
