About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner in Oncology at Hawaii Pacific Health will provide direct patient care to individuals with cancer and blood disorders. Requirements

  • Must meet education requirements for Hawai‘i state licensing.
  • Current Hawai‘i RN License.
  • Current Hawai‘i APRN license or Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience in Oncology.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year advanced practical experience.
  • Teaching and/or public speaking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including evaluation, treatment, and technical procedures.
  • Conduct health education for patients and their families.
  • Make referrals to other disciplines as necessary.
  • Consult with colleagues and allied health personnel regarding patient care.
  • Participate in family education and support group sessions.
