The Oncology Nurse Practitioner is a highly specialized APRN focused on providing comprehensive cancer care to Thompson Oncology Group (TOG) patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (ONP) will provide care to hematology-oncology patients in collaboration with and under the supervision of their supervising physician. As a member of the TOG provider team, the ONP will follow established treatment protocols in their practice. The ONP will be a primary representative of the TOG provider team in the community and amongst our referring partners and will be expected to display professionalism, communicate clearly, and be an excellent collaborator in support of patients. The ONP can expect a dynamic daily clinic where patients may require anything from primary care services to complex chemotherapy side effect management.
