Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Nurse Practitioner position. In this role, you will provide services across the continuum of care (independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing). This is a unique opportunity to build and manage an outpatient Primary Care Practice on campus, as well as provide care for our assisted living and skilled nursing residents. You will plan and direct all functions of the resident care clinical area, including but not limited to, management of team members and the day-to-day operations of the practice, managing resident healthcare needs in compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining knowledge of the long-term care industry and geriatrics through continuing education, and serving as clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students. Our Nurse Practitioners also play a key role in the development and implementation of preventative and well-being services, providing proactive care to assist our residents to thrive and age in place.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing; preferably in geriatrics
  • Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in the applicable work state
  • Minimum of five years' experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care, urgent care, or other medical office setting, particularly within geriatrics
  • Experience in continuing care, skilled nursing care, long-term care, and/or in an assisted living environment
