Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Grand Junction, CO. Employment Status: Part Time Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly. Schedule: Part Time, 3 days a week, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday- 8:30-4:30pm. (Female only required for job role) Benefits: 401(k) Plan Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) must have and meet the following qualifications: Female only required for this job role. "When a patient is seen by an NP the Grand Junction, CO facility provides the patient with the option for either a male NP or female NP, according to what will make the patient most comfortable during a sensitive examination or procedure. The Grand Junction, CO facility therefore must provide patients with access to both male and female NPs to facilitate patient choice. This posting is specifically for a Female NP , which will allow the Grand Junction, CO facility to fulfill its male NP staffing needs. Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment. Have a masters degree or successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner program. Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Must possess basic computer skills. All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines. Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required. Job Summary: Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams. The Nurse Practitioner will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations. Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory. Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
