About The Position

CorrectHealth has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Lawrenceville , GA ! Position is Full-Time onsite 7p-7am. CorrectHealth is a multi-disciplinary medical organization that provides high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare inside the walls of correctional facilities. Currently, CorrectHealth provides high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare services inside the walls of more than 40 correctional facilities throughout Georgia, Louisiana, the Southeast, and beyond. Job Summary : Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including primary, acute and chronic treatment, under the supervision of a physician. Evaluate and treat medical conditions using clinical judgment based on diagnoses focusing on positive patient outcomes. Interact and collaborate with internal/external healthcare professionals, facility administration and others in correctional facilities, as needed. Maintain accurate patient medical records complying with federal and state requirements including HIPAA, PREA, etc.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited PA school or school of nursing
  • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), active RN license, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current PA or Nurse Practitioner License (in required state)
  • Current BLS, DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) preferred and/or other certification(s)
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate (oral and written) with all levels of leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) preferred and/or other certification(s)
