Nurse Practitioner - NP – Cardiothoracic Surgery - Outpatient
About The Position
Cardiothoracic Surgery nursing at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital means tackling complex cases by utilizing rare technology to deliver quality centered patient care with a finely tuned collaborative team. Across screening, diagnosis, treatment and care, our nurses drive the sharing of knowledge and best practices that makes life-changing differences for patients. The Nurse Practitioner for Cardiothoracic Surgery is responsible for planning, evaluating, managing, and delivering patient centered care. You will be a vital member to the Cardiothoracic Surgery team. Your direction and coordination will deeply impact the delivery of quality patient care to our patients. This position will work 4 days a week.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- New York State Registered Nurse License and Adult, Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner License
- Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Previous RN or NP experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred
