Requirements

Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree from accredited institution and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP). Licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York, ACLS certified.
Physician Assistants: Master's degree from accredited institution and NCCPA Certification. Licensed to practice in the State of New York, ACLS certified.

Responsibilities

Provide medical treatment, consultation and diagnosis to an ambulatory walk-in community.
Select, order, perform and interpret tests.
Analyze reports and findings of tests to diagnose patient.
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care.
Perform procedures including laceration repair, management of orthopedic injuries, and provide referrals to medical specialists.
Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.
Provide occupational health physical examinations and interpretation of OSHA based tests.
Attend to emergencies as needed.
Complete thorough documentation.
