About The Position

Marshfield Clinic Health System is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Marshfield, Wisconsin to: Attend high risk deliveries and provide medical management as a member of our multi-disciplinary group. Perform routine clinical procedures independently including providing resuscitation and stabilization of newborn, endotracheal tube placement/intubation, PICC line insertion, umbilical catheter insertion (arterial/venous), peripheral arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion and removal, thoracentesis, lumber puncture, double or partial volume exchange transfusion and neonatal transport. This role will be a shift model consisting of 12 or 24 hour shifts. Department Details Marshfield Medical Center is a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and has northern and central Wisconsin's only children's hospital. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Doctor of Nurse Practitioner
  • Successful completion of a formal nurse practitioner program that prepares neonatal nurse practitioners and awards graduate degrees. The program shall be accredited by a Commission on Collegiate Nursing (CCNE) or National League of Nursing Accrediting Council (NLNAC)
  • License requirement- Active RN license and an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification for the State of WI.
  • Certification requirement- Current certification by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or an equivalent body recognized by the state of Wisconsin for care of the Adult Patient Population.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
