Position Overview The group is looking for a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to work closely with their neurosurgeons in providing comprehensive care to patients throughout the entire surgical continuum. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia in good standing
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with focus on adult or family practice
  • Required: Background in neurosurgery, neurology, or orthopedic spine care
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and make sound clinical decisions

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive history-taking, detailed physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to establish accurate diagnoses
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based care plans in close collaboration with neurosurgeons and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Assist in surgical procedures and provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options, recovery processes, ongoing health management, and lifestyle modifications
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction
  • Participate actively in patient rounds and contribute valuable insights to multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Conduct hospital rounds one weekend per month to ensure continuity of care and consistent oversight for hospitalized patients
  • Serve as a key liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team, facilitating clear communication and coordinated care
