About The Position

Vista Healthcare Neurology is expanding its specialty services and seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner for our Cedar City Neurology Division, Key Responsibilities Patient Care Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, obtain detailed patient histories, and address patient questions and concerns. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic neurological disorders. Diagnosis and Treatment Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurological conditions such as headache disorders, neuropathies, seizure disorders, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, cognitive decline, stroke sequelae, and others. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising neurologist. Neurological Testing & Interpretation Order and interpret neurological diagnostic tests including MRI, CT, EEG, EMG/NCS, and laboratory studies. Explain diagnostic results and treatment recommendations clearly to patients and families. Counseling & Education Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, preventative care, and chronic disease management specific to neurological conditions. Chart Management Document all patient encounters, findings, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and in a timely manner. Collaboration Work closely with neurologists, primary care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff. Refer patients to specialists when necessary. Compliance Follow all medical regulations, including HIPAA, ensuring patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Utah
  • Previous neurology or internal medicine experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
  • Familiarity with neurological conditions, medications, and diagnostic tools is highly valued.
  • Excellent interpersonal and patient counseling skills.
  • Comfortable working in multiple clinic settings and serving diverse patient populations.
  • Strong ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to continuing education and staying current with advancements in neurology.
