Nurse Practitioner -Neurology- Outpatient Neuromuscular
About The Position
The Division of Neuromuscular seeks a Nurse Practitioner to work in the outpatient setting seeing routine visits, follow-ups, and acute visits. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians in diagnosing and managing interesting and complex cases for all aspects of Neuromuscular disorders. The candidate will work alongside other Advanced Practice Providers and physicians in a collaborative and collegial environment. The position is Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm, with no holidays, weekends, or call. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning, and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
- Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
- Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
