About The Position

The position involves evaluating, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients in collaboration with supervising physicians according to established guidelines and protocols. The role focuses on maintaining and promoting patient well-being through preventative healthcare and guidance, providing care in an outpatient setting predominantly from Monday through Friday. The responsibilities include ensuring patient assessments and care are in accordance with licensing board standards, managing physical and psychological problems, developing educational processes for patient care, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Ability to perform essential functions on physical and working conditions charts.
• Related training/experience preferably within the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, examine, diagnose, and treat patients in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Maintain and promote patient well-being through preventative healthcare.
• Ensure patient assessments and care are in accordance with professional standards.
• Manage physical and psychological problems of patients.
• Develop educational processes for patient care activities.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrate leadership in nursing practice.
• Provide for patient safety in compliance with policies.
• Assist in department compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Perform procedures and assist in surgery as per guidelines.
• Direct and provide appropriate pre and post-operative care.
• Document in the medical record accurately and timely.
