About The Position

Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist United Health Services in Binghamton, NY United Health Services Hospitals is a family of health serviceanizations that exists to improve the health of themunities we serve by developing and maintaining aprehensive and costeffective health care system. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician. LOCATION: Binghamton, NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY. Requirements

Master's degree in nursing
Certified Nurse Practitioner
Licensed in the State of New York

Responsibilities

Obtain medical histories when necessary
Perform physician exams
Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines)
Order diagnostic test
Prescribe or rmend medications for prescriptions for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines)
Provide preventive health screenings and immunizations
Assure charts arepleted timely
Make follow up calls to check patient's progress
Consult with physician regarding patient's symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatment
Performs other duties as assigned
