About The Position

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) team at Gastropark Ridge . The ideal candidate will support our board-certified gastroenterologists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide range of digestive health conditions. This role is 100% inpatient. Location: Gastropark Ridge offers a welcoming environment with modern facilities, convenient access to major highways, and a diverse patient population.

Requirements

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of NP experience, preferably in a GI or internal medicine setting.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories on GI patients in the hospital
• Call responsibility involved- to be discussed during interview
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal conditions.
• Manage chronic GI disorders such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and more.
• Collaborate closely with GI physicians in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform follow-up care and education for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-procedural counseling and medication management.
• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system.
