About The Position
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. This is a per diem nurse practitioner position for the gastroenterology department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
- Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
- National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
- Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- Advance Practice Nurse License.
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
