About The Position

UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Blue Ridge Cancer Center. This position offers the opportunity to practice within a rural community and provides access to a broad scope of specialists within the UNC Health Network. Requirements

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) program
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina or eligible
• Board certification if required by the Department
• At least 3+ years as a NP is preferred
• Prefer candidates with past experience in Hematology and/or oncology setting

Responsibilities

• See a variety of hematology and oncology patients, including managing a benign hematology caseload
• See pretreat patients prior to chemotherapy treatments
• Complete all chemo education with patients prior to new or changing treatments
• Support the medical oncologist to see any patients that are having symptoms or concerns
• Review patient labs and test results to approve treatments
