About The Position

Baltimore Medical System (BMS) is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides quality primary/outpatient care services in the Greater Baltimore area. BMS is the largest FQHC in Maryland, and we offer a variety of comprehensive primary and behavioral health services through five (5) community health centers and eight (8) school-based health centers. Requirements

  • Masters degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
  • CDS, DEA, CPR certification.
  • One year of experience in specialty area.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations.
  • Obtain, update, and study medical histories.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.
  • Interpret test results.
  • Communicate frequently with external contacts to ensure ongoing service and satisfaction.
  • Resolve disagreements and clarify issues/processes with internal customers.
