About The Position

Provides evaluation and treatment to emergency department patients. Works in cooperation with emergency physicians, nurses, technicians, and others to provide prompt, efficient, and technically excellent care.

Requirements

• Active NY State license/registration as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• 2-3 years of experience preferred
• Excellent Communication skills required
• Demonstrates the CARES Values at all times
• Demonstrates skill in communicating both verbally and in writing.
• Accurately collects records and interprets patient information and data.
• Demonstrates flexibility in decision making and prioritizing workload.
• Has good command of knowledge base including knowledge of medical issues for each age group across the lifespan.
• Must have a positive, cooperative attitude and exhibit a joyful exuberance for their work.
• Lives the CARES values at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation and treatment of emergency department patients
• Works in cooperation with emergency physicians, nurses, technicians, and others to provide prompt, efficient, and technically excellent care
• Provides treatment and evaluation of emergency medicine patients of all levels of acuity including those presenting with chest pain, abdominal pain, stroke, weakness, sepsis and any other complaint.
• Able to interpret data and anticipate needs for each age-related and functional developmental level and to formulate appropriate treatment plan.
