About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner in Craniofacial at El Paso Children's Hospital is responsible for providing acute health care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role involves health surveillance, assessment, and intervention to diagnose and treat various illnesses or diseases, whether acute or chronic. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the supervising physician to formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient education, while also preparing medical records and referring patients for additional services as needed.

Requirements

• Two years of Pediatric critical care and child maltreatment experience required.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Licensed in the State of Texas or Compact State.
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior or upon hire required.
• BLS and PALS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• Master's degree or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Graduation from an advanced nursing practice program accredited by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Order laboratory tests and interpret test results.
