Job Summary: We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of outpatient cardiology experience to support a growing cardiology service line. This role works collaboratively with cardiologists and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting.

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in NY
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient cardiology Nurse Practitioner experience
  • Board certification (ANCC or AANP)
  • Active DEA (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management
  • Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outpatient cardiology or multispecialty practices
  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems
  • Experience managing high-volume patient panels

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical exams, and risk stratification
  • Manage and follow patients with cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, labs)
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians
  • Prescribe medications and adjust therapies in accordance with evidence-based guidelines
  • Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
  • Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, and ancillary services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols
