Nurse Practitioner - Bilingual (Spanish/English)
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care within the Adult Medicine department, delivering high-quality, patient-centered services across the adult age spectrum. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, this role combines advanced nursing expertise with diagnostic and treatment skills to ensure accessible, compassionate care. The Nurse Practitioner operates with professional autonomy, makes sound clinical decisions, and serves as an advocate to expand the availability of healthcare services for adult patients in our community.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse.
- Recognition by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong knowledge of advanced nursing practice and primary care delivery.
- Proven ability to prioritize patient needs and make informed clinical decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently while maintaining accountability.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence, inspire, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexible approach to care delivery and willingness to develop innovative approaches to patient care.
- Skilled in conflict resolution, with respect for diverse values and opinions.
- Experience providing care to children and adolescents (in addition to adult medicine focus).
Responsibilities
- Effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
- Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
- Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues.
- Educates patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
- Maintains legible, accurate, and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with regulatory standards.
- Facilitates evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, maintains quality standards according to protocols, and receives and implements constructive directives.
- Analyzes new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, or "hands-on training" and assimilates this knowledge into clinical practice.
