About The Position

UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center’s (HMC) Neurosurgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for an ARNP, Nurse Practitioner or PA-C, Physician Assistant Certified. The Neurological Surgery Clinic is located in the Ninth and Jefferson Building at Harborview Medical Center. It provides comprehensive assessment and management of neurological conditions, including acute vascular anomalies, brain tumors, aneurysms, movement disorders and diseases of the nervous system. The clinic is staffed by attending physicians who evaluate patients for advanced elective procedures and diagnostic studies. As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine. It is dedicated to providing specialized care for a broad spectrum of patients from throughout the Pacific Northwest, including the most vulnerable residents of King County. Requirements

Nurse Practitioner: Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing AND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges AND National certification as a Nurse Practitioner AND ACLS certification
Physician Assistant: Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA). Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions AND ACLS certification

Work independently under the general guidance of the attending physicians, chief resident, and department nurse manager
