This position is responsible for the delivery of specialized chronic pain management services to patients of WCCHC’s Pain Management Clinic. The licensed, credentialed, and Privileged Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved. As an independent practitioner in the health center, the APRN renders diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up for chronic pain issues. The APRN is expected to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provided clinical services and recommendations based on chronic pain diagnoses. As such, the APRN is expected to work within the program directives set by funding sources, within the philosophical framework set by the Board of Directors, and within the existing network in the community.
