About The Position

This mid-level provider will work with physicians providing primary care and urgent care. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provide primary health care for a diverse population. Complete follow-up of individual patients as needed either by return visit, phone call, electronic communication or written letter. Perform minor procedures as necessary, such as suturing, splinting. Serve as a consultant for individuals traveling internationally, includes performing physical exams, ordering tests, prescribing medications as needed and counseling about immunization requirements. Serve on committees as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Schedule: Provide Saturday coverage as needed, approximately one time per month. Working Conditions: Job Location/Working Conditions Normal office environment. Exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Alternative work schedules. Exposure to chemicals. On-Call (Beeper). Requires protective devices. Patient care setting. Direct patient care setting. Physical Effort Typically sitting at desk or table. Typically standing or walking. Occasional lifting (25 lbs. or less). Ability to work in a multi-level office building and to travel by walking and use of vehicle to on and off campus locations. Ability to use stairs in buildings with no elevators. Equipment Office equipment. Clinical/diagnostic equipment. Skills: Not Applicable Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri or Illinois, depending on work location, and all relevant education to obtain licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
