About The Position

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires Acute Care certification. New graduates are welcome to apply. This is a full-time role (1.0 FTE), working 40 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour shifts, with a rotation every fourth weekend and holiday. The position is for the night shift and comes with a competitive benefits package and pay based on experience. The role involves providing healthcare to individuals or groups, requiring knowledge and skills obtained from advanced formal education, certification, and clinical experience. The practitioner will work within their professional scope, promote patient advocacy in accordance with the profession’s Code of Ethics, and maintain a current Ohio Advanced License.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree or equivalent provision, required.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio, required.
  • Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci for the position, or PA, required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and/or populations; develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care; document and communicate information clearly in written and verbal forms.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards as necessary for patient care.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to serve as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
  • Assist in the education, training, and development of new and existing staff members.
  • Engage in the community of the work unit by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, and engaging in Quality Improvement.
  • Leverage technology and informatics to optimize healthcare outcomes.
  • Commit to continued professional development of self and others.
  • Contribute to the division and/or specialty goals and the Hospital Strategic Plan.
