About The Position

To provide a dual role in supporting Population Health initiatives and delivering direct clinical nursing care. This position shares responsibilities between patient care duties on the floor and Population Health tasks, including: employee health, clinical education, and infection control surveillance activities.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the State of Wisconsin.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to function independently and manage dual roles efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred, not required.
  • Experience in staff education, employee health, or infection prevention preferred.
  • Familiarity with employee health, education, or infection control procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding education for new clinical hires
  • Monitor and track annual competencies for nursing staff
  • Coordination/delivery of mandatory training and clinical in-services
  • Support skill validation and re-education as needed
  • Assist departments in meeting regulatory competency requirements
  • Promote consistent application of standards of care across units
  • Assist with pre-employment clinical clearance
  • Track immunization status and TB screening
  • Support post-exposure follow-up and return-to-work processes
  • Coordinate N95 fit testing and required screenings
  • Maintain confidential employee health documentation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and organizational health requirements
  • Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning as needed
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Promote safe medication administration and documentation practices
  • Support continuity of care and communication with care team
  • Adheres to established safety protocols, infection prevention standards, and hand hygiene practices to reduce the risk of harm to patients, residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Participates in proactive risk identification and timely reporting of adverse events or near misses.
  • Supports and educates staff in maintaining a culture of safety across nursing, population health, and employee wellness activities.
  • Follows isolation precautions, immunization protocols, and surveillance workflows in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Promotes safe patient care practices during clinical assignments on the floor, including medication administration, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication.
