Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Title: Nurse Performance Improvement Coordinator Position Type: Hybrid, Full Time Position Purpose: The Process Improvement Coordinator plays a key role in the hospital’s Performance Improvement Plan by providing leadership, expertise and support in process improvement with a focus on clinical improvement projects. Working under the direction of PI Director, Managers and Senior PI Clinical Coordinators the specialist directs and supports the work of multi-functional teams to improve organizational performance and promote efficient use of resources. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health. What you will do: Provides effective design, measurement and analysis of key clinical and operational processes. Facilities the development and application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other PI Tools and techniques to support hospital-wide performance improvement initiatives, certification preferred. Participates in the ongoing development and implementation of the Performance Improvement/Outcomes Management Program for Holy Cross Health. Assists key customers in the development of programs that identify, prioritize, develop, analyze, measure and improve key processes and outcomes. Manages systems to collect and analyze outcome data. Manages systems for reporting internally and to external databases Facilitates and supports hospital-wide multi-disciplinary teams; supports hospital-wide quality committees and Peer Review, OPPE and organization wide PI Projects. Provides formal education programs on use of performance improvement tools and methods; serves as an internal PI consultant. Actively promotes process transformation. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: Registered Nurse or other clinically licensed health care professional with current Maryland license. A thorough knowledge of healthcare systems with at least five years of Hospital experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered and may be accepted. Prior experience in performance improvement, outcomes management, Project Management and Peer Review, Six sigma, Lean or like training and experience preferred. Strong analytical, written and verbal skills, including the ability to provide educational programs to professional and management staff and physicians. Solid knowledge of statistics; ability to analyze and interpret data using statistical tools. Prior experience with Minitab, SPSS or like software preferred. Strong interpersonal skills. Prior experience with team facilitation preferred . Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility. Participates in the ongoing development and implementation of the Performance Improvement Plan for the Hospital including Medical Staff Peer Review, Medical Peer Review, Medical Staff Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), clinical case review, data abstractions, and data entry and focused data abstraction for PI initiatives. Pay Range: $37.18-$55.77 Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
