About The Position

Requirements

• Clear and active RN license in the State of Florida.
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit preferred.
• Ability to type at least 27 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65% on general assessment.
• Current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial physical assessments and ongoing re-assessments of patients.
• Assess and collect data to determine client stability, safety, and pain status on admission.
• Integrate assessment findings with previously reported information to determine changes in client status.
• Recognize interrelationships between assessment findings, medications, and lab results.
• Initiate Treatment Plans and Nursing Care Plans incorporating client and family needs.
• Verify and carry out physician orders, transcribing to the Medication Administration Record as appropriate.
• Assume leadership in crisis or emergency situations.
• Identify unexpected responses to treatment and communicate with the appropriate physician.
• Work with Nurse Manager and HR Staffing to provide appropriate staffing based on census and acuity.
