About The Position

As an OB Newborn Nursery Registered Nurse (RN), you are a vital caregiver during a family's joyous transition, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that supports the health and well-being of our newest patients and empowers new parents. This role is about nurturing new life, educating families, and safeguarding fragile beginnings. Every day, you will leverage your specialized expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care for newborns, from their first breaths through their initial days of life. You'll make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures specific to neonatal care, and meticulously implement patient care plans focused on growth, stability, and early physical development. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring a smooth continuum of care and contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal newborn and family outcomes. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, American Heart Association upon hire

  • One year recent acute care experience
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care tailored to the unique physiological and developmental needs of healthy newborns, as well as those requiring close observation.
  • Skillfully manage and prioritize newborn care activities, ensuring consistent monitoring, feeding support, and hygiene practices, balanced with promoting family bonding.
  • Serve as a dedicated advocate for newborns' needs, ensuring a holistic approach to care that encompasses physical health, developmental milestones, and parental education.
  • Exhibit exceptional ability to recognize and adapt swiftly to changes in a newborn's condition (e.g., vital signs, feeding patterns, signs of distress, skin integrity, lab results) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
