About The Position

This job announcement is for a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager (NM) position overseeing the Specialty Clinic, Urgent Care Clinic, and Infusion Clinic at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, MI. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the 24/7 operation of their assigned units and will provide coverage for other Nurse Managers as needed. The role includes directing and supervising staff orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation. The Nurse Manager will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care outcomes and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program.
  • Participation in the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Responsibilities

  • Designated first-line supervisory authority responsible for the 24/7 operation of assigned units.
  • Provide coverage for other Nurse Managers as needed.
