The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Professional Nurses (RNs) to join our direct-care team at Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH). This role is crucial in improving the well-being of our clients and patients, particularly those dealing with mental health and addiction issues. The positions are available across various inpatient units, including specialized programs for withdrawal management and residential rehabilitation. Nurses will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, including conducting initial assessments, recommending care modifications, and delivering direct patient care that encompasses education, counseling, and medication administration. The positions require a commitment to a holistic approach to treatment, utilizing evidence-based practices and a focus on recovery education and individualized counseling. The work environment is dynamic, with opportunities to work in different units and shifts, including first, second, and third shifts. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $79,874 to $104,588 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Additionally, nurses assigned to second or third shifts may be eligible for a yearly bonus of $3,000 after completing one year of service.
