About The Position
At Legacy, the mission is to provide excellent, evidence-based care to patients while showing compassion. This is a supplemental midwifery position at Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Midwifery on the Emanuel campus. The thriving midwifery practice provides independent full scope care in a team-based model.
Requirements
- Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse/ Nurse Midwife/ Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required.
- National Certification as a Nurse Midwife required.
- Possess active BLS card from the American Heart Association
- Current licensure as required by staff and state requirements.
- Full scope women’s healthcare and midwifery experience required.
- Ability to work with people in a diplomatic and tactful manner, utilizing effective leadership and group process skills.

Responsibilities
- Provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, family-planning and well-woman gynecological care independently to adolescent and adult patients based on scope of practice and established guidelines.
- Consults appropriately with consulting physicians.
- Provides collaborative care or referral to medical management as appropriate.
- Follows all organizational, regulatory and human resource policies and procedures.
- Practice includes full participation in outpatient and inpatient care.
- Practices full scope midwifery.
