About The Position

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Nursing Department. As a Registered Nurse, this role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Nurse Manager plays a key role in achieving patient outcomes through the implementation of critical pathways,aligned with the mission and values of the hospital.

Requirements

• Current Licensure in the State
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course.
• CNOR preferred
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and/or BSN, Master's degree in Nursing/Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient's pathway to achieve identified outcomes
• Assumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving services within the nursing department
• Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs, utilizing a developmental perspective
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of the designated skills identified for the position
• Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit on the assigned shift
• Performs all other duties as assigned
