About The Position

Nurse Manager Longview Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Longview Rehabilitation Hospita l strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. We are CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Program. Position Summary The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing operations within an assigned unit, including supervision of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical policies and standards, and collaborating with leadership to optimize patient care delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staff performance, resolve issues, and foster team development.
  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BCLS required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum two years of rehab nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • ACLS preferred
  • CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
  • Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
  • Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
  • Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
  • Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
