Our goal is to deliver excellent nursing care throughout the spectrum of cardiovascular disease treatment. A collaborative approach, including patient and family centered care, is essential to delivering care to this complex and high-risk patient population, including cardiology, advanced heart failure, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and cardiogenic shock patients. The professional development of staff is fundamental to our success and this will be a key part of the management role. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies, and commitment to achieving quality care and outcomes. This role will also include: strategic and financial planning; developing and executing short/long term goals that align with our strategic initiatives, as well as project and program development.
