About The Position

The Nurse Manager holds responsibilities for a functional area of patient services within the system’s second largest Emergency Department at Miami Valley Hospital North (MVHN). This role involves a matrix relationship with the Imaging Manager to ensure clinical quality and nursing practice standards for imaging nurses, who report directly to the Imaging Manager. The collaboration aims to achieve strategic objectives and maintain the overall health of a specific community segment. The position includes supervisory responsibilities for 72 FTEs, exercising full management authority including performance reviews, discipline, termination, and personnel hiring. Fiscal responsibilities include managing the operating budget, approving expenditures, and monitoring expenditures, with an annual revenue of $157,517,804 and annual expense of $9,816,273.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Ohio
• CPR certification
• BLS required
• ACLS-before end of orientation
• PALS within 1 year
• Must be able to pass EKKG rhythms test
• Annual certification in NIHSS
• By-Yearly NVCI training
• 3-5 years of job-related experience
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting
