Position Summary The role of the Nurse Manager reports to the Clinic Manager in partnership with the Clinic Physician. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of nursing staff and aides. This position will participate in direct patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a clinic setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day workflow in the clinic as it relates to patient care
  • Provide ongoing training to nursing staff
  • Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
  • Prepare patient for various types procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
  • Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
  • Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
  • Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
  • Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
  • Ensure patient has received all necessary educational materials
  • Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled date to the patient
