Location: Deploying to the Marshall Islands Job Summary: The Nurse Manager will oversee nursing staff in the hospital or clinical setting. They will work with their staff to coordinate patient care and ensure that patients, staff, and families communicate to help staff members provide the safest possible care. The Nurse Manager may set work schedules, and train nurses and other health care professionals. Working with the Physicians on staff, the Nurse Managers may help develop long-term plans for patient care. They may also perform reviews of clinical care practices, analyze data, and conduct risk assessments.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nursing License free from any pending adverse actions.
Minimum 5 years as a Nurse Manager.
Minimum of 4 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification are required.
Ability to be favorability credentialed by Acuity International policy.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
Shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic word processing programs and the Acuity Medical Management Systems software.
Must be current in all required certifications.
Requires a favorable security background check and drug screen.
All healthcare providers must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 6 of the last 12 months in a desired career field.
Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver’s License.
Must have a valid U.S. Passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.
Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
Requires a favorably adjudicated CNACI investigation conducted by the Department of Defense.
Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.

Responsibilities

Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Nurse Manager to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
Plans and adjusts work schedules and operations to meet mission objectives, priorities, deadlines, and standards of care.
Assures nurse staffing and equipment requirements to achieve current demands, safety requirements, and accreditation standards.
Coordinate communication and promote a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach.
Assists in data collection and analysis for the completion of reports.
Establish and coordinate work schedules to ensure appropriately skilled (specialized) Nursing coverage across all facility Clinics and Departments.
Develop and implement Nursing policies and procedures that promote patient well-being and safety.
Educate Nursing staff on, and enforce all, approved policies, and procedures.
Utilization and understanding of how to use various medical devices, such as catheters and feeding tubes.
Ensures compliance with state and federal requirements, accreditation bodies, organization’s policies, and clinical responsibilities.
Implements an effective, ongoing system to measure, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients.
Evaluates operations and services in correlation to patient flow, productivity, and treatment needs of the population.
Develop a plan for each nurse per specific skills and needs of the medical unit.
Ensures continuously improved patient care procedures and control mechanisms relating to quality and compliance.
Responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of all privacy laws.
Responds to a variety of inquiries of varying complexity by using knowledge and an understanding of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding information (HIPAA, PHI, PII), including maintaining confidentiality of all company proprietary information.
Proactively multi-task on a variety of assignments; provides thorough work while maintaining a sense of urgency based on program needs.
Maintains professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, candor, privacy, and confidentiality of all company proprietary information, meetings, communication, and documents, including implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization.
Records and maintains patient information following standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.
Safely performs duties and follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Ensures safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Be available for on-call duties as required, responding promptly to emergencies and providing care as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned under contract requirements.
