About The Position

Manages the delivery of ambulatory patient care, which typically includes nursing, and may include laboratory, radiology, dental, etc. Facilitates the flow of patient care activities; may also participate in practice or center management operations. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $191,800 - $256,600 (Annual Rate). Requirements

  • 3 years’ managerial experience in an acute care or outpatient setting
  • Strong clinic / center patient care management skills.
  • Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and / or information technology.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant healthcare and clinic operations including information technology, patient care workflows and processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making.
  • Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management, and staff from all disciplines.
  • Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration, and consistent achievement of objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments.
  • Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging best practices and technologies in the clinic / center healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see projects through from inception to completion.
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Experience working as RN in cancer services
  • Experience in large academic medical center setting
  • Experience with QA/The Joint Commission process for quality improvement
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse in the State of California and / or licensure in relevant clinical specialty
  • American Heart Association CPR certification
