How you’ll contribute A Nurse Manager who excels in this role will: Assist in review and revision of policies and procedures. Participate in departmental and team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans. The Nurse Manager is also a working RN and routinely personally executes nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan. Ensures appropriate staffing for their shift and the following shift. Minimizes use of agency and overtime. Demonstrates good judgment in assessing acuity levels to determine appropriate staffing. Assists in monitoring attendance by accurately reporting staff tardiness, absences, leave early and stay late behavior. Assist in communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or other important information. Preform evaluations and disciplines in an appropriate and timely manner. Report incidents appropriately and within the designated time frame. Demonstrates good judgment in contacting the AOC or DON. Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies. Ensures appropriate staffing for their shift and the following shift. Minimizes use of agency and overtime. Demonstrates good judgment in assessing acuity levels to determine appropriate staffing. Assists in monitoring attendance by accurately reporting staff tardiness, absences, leave early and stay late behavior. Assist in communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or other important information. Preform evaluations and disciplines in an appropriate and timely manner. Report incidents appropriately and within the designated time frame. Demonstrates good judgment in contacting the AOC or DON. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Two years’ leadership experience preferred. CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges.
