The Nurse Manager for Withdrawal Management provides unit-based leadership for the SUD nursing/medical team, overseeing withdrawal management and residential units. This role is administratively responsible for the nursing care provided by licensed staff nurses (RNs and LPNs) and unlicensed clinical staff (EMTs and MAs). The Nurse Manager reports to the SUD Provider Lead with matrix management from the SUD Director and is involved in strategic planning, organizational goals, process and procedures, budgets, evaluation of nursing care, quality improvement, and risk management. The position also encompasses human resource functions such as hiring, discipline, and scheduling under the guidance of the SUD Director and/or Human Resources Department. The Nurse Manager ensures timely intake/admissions for incoming clients and provides direction for complex cases, along with referral, authorization, and medical review services as needed.
